What some see as a HERCULEON TASK, we see as a normal everyday procedure here at Cardinal. We have
successfully completed THOUSANDS & THOUSANDS of Re-upholstery & Re-finishing projects.
The fine committee members at St. Michaels called us for our recommendation in regards to updating their
sanctuary seating. Their project went flawlessly.
HERE IS HOW IT WORKS
We ask that you consider the following steps to proceed when it comes to the refurbishing of your existing house

2. After contacting our front office, we will be glad to SET UP AN APPOINTMENT for our OWNER to come
out and survey your project. We will measure & make a layout. We will then photograph your project for current
& future use. We then go over the particulars that are needed especially for your upgrade. We will present
colors & styles of fabrics, wood tones & flooring if requested.

FABRIC SELECTIONS FOR PEWS.
View our standard WOOD COLOR SELECTIONS as well. Please note that not all refurbishing of
UPHOLSTERED PEWS needs to have the wood parts totally refinished. We have 3 separate options when it
comes to your wood parts within a re-upholstery project.
A. Is a total sand down of your wood parts with a coat of stain with 2 coats of sealer & 2 coats of lacquer.
B. Is a light sanding of your wood parts to clean & remove existing wear with a coat of stain, 2 coats of sealer
with 2 coats of lacquer.
C. Is to leave the wood parts as is, clean & polish when reinstalled
3. Very soon after our meeting we will present to you a very competitive bid. NO ONE DOES IT LIKE

4. When convenient for you, we will re-furbish a small sample pew per your direction. Pictured below is a 4’0
pew that we re-upholstered & re-finished. We will pick the pew up & re-deliver it to present to your group.

This procedure & product then becomes a sales tool for you & your group to critique. It will show how well we can make your furnishings look prior to re-doing your whole project

5. Contracting & scheduling will be the next step. With a calendar in hand we will schedule your project. We
usually request a 4 to 6 week lead time to order & secure all fabrics & materials needed to refurbish your
project. Payment schedules are;
1/3 upon contracting, 1/3 upon pick up of product, balance upon the day of bolt down of your product.
WE DO PICK UP YOUR FURNITURE & BRING BACK TO OUR FACTORY
WE DO ALL THE WORK AT OUR FACTORY IN AZUSA, CALIFORNIA
WE WILL NOT DO THE RE-FURBISH OF YOUR FURNITURE AT YOUR SITE
The mess from sanding, staining, sealing & lacquering will NEVER EVER be able to be thoroughly cleaned up from your existing interior. It will permeate into your floors, walls & ceilings–forever.
(it would be like asking your doctor to do the operation in your garage)
WHAT WE DON’T DO IS AS IMPORTANT AS WHAT WE DO
WE DO NOT USE CHEMICALS TO STRIP YOUR PEWS !!!!!!
This will de-grade and dissolve any existing glue joints. Solvents do not know when to stop working within your glue joints. Chemical strippers will eventually cause failure to your existing product.
6. Depending upon the size of your project, will be the amount of time we request to keep your furnishings in our factory. Normally we ask to keep your furnishings for one weekend. (LARGER JOBS MAY TAKE LONGER) So that you are not without seating for a service, we are prepared to let you use our LOANER chairs. Below you can see that we loaned Calvary Chapel of the High Desert almost 1500 chairs so they would not be without their sanctuary for services. (customers pay for delivery & pick up only) The VALUE of rental chairs are usually $1.50 per chair per day
If you need us to warehouse your product because you are refurbishing more than just your furniture,IE, painting,construction, carpeting etc. We will be more than happy to warehouse your product for a certain time per our contract.
7. Final step is for Cardinal Church & Worship Furnishings to re-deliver your product within our factory owned vehicles.
We will un-load, assemble & install your furnishings as precisely as we removed your product.

After line up of your furniture, we will request confirmation & signature that the furniture is ready to be bolted
down in the correct situation. Last payment is requested prior to bolt down. Final bolt down & touch-up of
your product is the last procedure for the project.

OUR INSURANCE COVERAGE PROTECTS YOUR INVESTMENT
We bring WORKERS COMPENSATION insurance which protects you if one of our employees is injured
working on your project at your site or at our factory.
We carry GERNERAL LIABILITY which protects you if we damage anyone or anything at your job site. It
also protects your new furniture while we are manufacturing it. It protects your existing pews while in our care if we are remanufacturing them.
Our AUTO & INLAND MARINE POLICY protects you if our trucks or autos damage anyone or anything at
your job site. Inland Marine protects your furniture while we have it in transit to and from your jobsite.
PRODUCTS LIABILITY protects your furniture after we manufacture and install it.
As our customer, we take your well being seriously. We carry insurance to protect your interests. If you elect
to hire a non licensed – uninsured company to work for you, then you are at risk. If their employee is injured
working on your project or if they injure something or someone at your job site, there is no umbrella to protect
you and your project.

WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER REUPHOLSTERY & REFINISHING OF YOUR PRODUCT.
Our experience is that a renovation of existing pews is exciting and breathes life into a congregation. It attracts and retains new attendees.
There most likely has been a small forest give up its life for your seating configuration. Be GREEN, let it continue living in the manner it has given itself up for. (your bench’s)
About 85% of your old pew materials will be re-cycled back into your newly re-vitalized furniture by Cardinal Church & Worship Furniture.
Refurbishment of your existing pews will save your congregation money. Being good stewards of money & the
ecosystem is always important in our eyes & mind.
When considering re-upholstery of your 20 year or older pews, please note that we do not ever suggest leaving
the worn out, tired existing foam. If someone suggests this, THEY ARE DOING YOU A DIS-SERVICE.
Foam is not the most expensive portion of the remanufacturing portion of your project. Re-doing them in 5 years because of the tired old worn in & out foam is.
